1. What Testudo Is
Testudo is a risk management and trade execution tool for cryptocurrency perpetual futures. It provides automated position sizing, trade journaling, and performance analytics. Testudo is a tool — not a financial advisor, broker, or custodian.
By using Testudo, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the platform.
2. Not Financial Advice
Nothing on this platform constitutes financial, investment, or trading advice. Position sizes, risk metrics, analytics, and any other output are calculations based on your configuration — not recommendations. You are solely responsible for your trading decisions and their outcomes.
Trading cryptocurrency derivatives involves substantial risk of loss. You can lose more than your initial investment. Only trade with capital you can afford to lose.
3. No Custody of Funds
Testudo never holds, controls, or has access to your funds. All trades execute on your exchange account through your API keys or wallet authorization. Testudo cannot withdraw, transfer, or move your assets.
For centralized exchanges (Binance, WOO, Bybit, OKX): you provide API keys with trading permissions only. For Hyperliquid: you authorize an agent wallet that can trade but cannot withdraw.
4. API Keys & Credentials
Your exchange API keys are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM. However, by providing API credentials to Testudo, you accept the inherent risk of granting a third-party service access to your exchange account.
You are responsible for:
- → Only granting trading permissions (never withdrawal)
- → Using IP restrictions where your exchange supports them
- → Revoking API keys if you suspect unauthorized access
- → Keeping your wallet and signing keys secure
5. Agent Wallets (Hyperliquid)
For Hyperliquid integration, Testudo generates a dedicated agent wallet — a keypair authorized by your main wallet to execute trades on your behalf. The agent wallet can place, modify, and cancel orders. It cannot withdraw funds or transfer assets.
You can revoke agent wallet authorization at any time from the Desk account page or directly on-chain. Revocation is immediate and permanent until you re-authorize.
6. Position Sizing & Risk Engine
The risk engine calculates position sizes based on your configured parameters (risk percentage, max risk amount, max position size, leverage limits). These calculations are deterministic — the same inputs produce the same outputs.
You are ultimately responsible for your risk configuration and the trades that result from it. Testudo does not guarantee that any position sizing strategy will be profitable or prevent losses.
7. Availability & Reliability
Testudo is provided "as is." We do not guarantee 100% uptime, uninterrupted service, or error-free operation. We are not liable for:
- → Missed trades due to service downtime or network issues
- → Order execution failures caused by exchange API outages
- → Latency in order placement or fill detection
- → Losses arising from any of the above
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Testudo for:
- → Market manipulation, wash trading, or spoofing
- → Any activity that violates the terms of your exchange
- → Any activity prohibited by applicable law in your jurisdiction
- → Reverse engineering, scraping, or reselling the platform
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Testudo's total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the platform is limited to the total fees you have paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
In no event shall Testudo be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, trading losses, or loss of data.
10. Termination
You can delete your account at any time. On deletion, your exchange API credentials are permanently destroyed. Your trade history and journal data are deleted within 30 days.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
